Knee Pain
With many years of experience treating knees, we achieve excellent results in relieving pain.
Whether you need to get back to certain activities like looking after children, housework and driving or more leisurely pass-times like gardening and walking, our aim is to help you regain movement.Â
Typical symptoms and assessments
As a major weight-bearing joint, the knee is frequently subject to the aches and pains of sporting injuries and osteoarthritis, both of which respond extremely well to chiropractic treatment.
Whether it’s the sudden onset of pain whilst running, jumping or twisting or a slower, progressive pain that may initially come on only after sport or walking, but with time becomes noticeable during activity or at rest, as experts at treating knees, Gail and Clare will assess you to ensure chiropractic is the correct treatment or whether referral for a scan, x-rays, physiotherapy or medical assessment is necessary. Â
Our approach
Osteoarthritis, patellofemoral pain syndrome, iliotibial band syndrome, bursitis, myofascial pain and muscle imbalance are among the conditions we treat. Severe sprains/tears may require medical intervention, whilst mild-to-moderate symptoms can be treated successfully with chiropractic.
Knee conditions, acute and chronic, respond very well to treatment. K-Laser accelerates and improves the body’s own healing processes, resulting in stronger tissue repair and less scar tissue. Dry needling, manipulation, mobilisation, myofascial release and exercise all play an important part in knee treatment. We always design the treatment programme according to the patient’s needs and wishes.Â
